My Fiction

Before Dreams Come True

In the bustling heart of Nashville, 23-year-old songwriter Hannah Thompson has big dreams of someday adding her voice to the music industry. While working as a bartender at one of the hottest spots in town, she is brought face to face with her crush and country sensation, Charlie Wyatt.

Charlie’s romantic past has been filled with women more concerned with spray tans, filtered photos, and Instagram followers than an actual connection with him. Hannah is a stark contrast to his ex-girlfriends, a rare and natural beauty. Their whirlwind romance results in a pregnancy, putting immense pressure on their new relationship and amplifies Hannah’s already-strained relationship with her mother.

When someone from Charlie's past resurfaces with secrets that could destroy everything—his image, his future, and the family he thought he would build, there’s no saying what lines won’t be crossed in order to protect his reputation and relationship.

Across town, Paige and Ryan Sullivan are navigating their own heartache. After years of infertility and miscarriage, they’ve turned to adoption. They meet Jasmine Davis—a brave, intelligent teenager facing an unplanned pregnancy—and Paige dares to hope that this is finally how they will build a family.

Both women are at a vulnerable crossroads of life—Hannah is becoming a mother before she’s ready—Paige has been waiting all her life to be a parent. Through their friendship, readers are taken on an exploration of the ways in which we become mothers, navigate relationships, deal with loss, and ultimately heal.

My novel shows the complexities of love, sacrifice, and second chances, told through the lens of two women in different seasons of life, each chasing something just out of reach.
